[ kol appears within two minutes, stepping inside the invincible's tavern and easily making his way to javert. his eyes immediately go to the rock, nicely lit up by his lantern.
it's definitely the rock. that growing, gnawing anger inside of him disappears almost immediately as relief floods him instead. ]

leaning back in his chair, he says casually, ] This means I now owe you a favour.
( Far be it for Javert to turn down an offer like that. The gratitude seems to perk him up a bit, almost drawing a full, genuine smile out of him, but he sobers up quickly. )

( He admits, squirming awkwardly in his chair. Javert may be an honest man, but it still makes him uncomfortable to admit his faults, especially when said fault is being robbed by a thief. )
I lost a pair of handcuffs. Perhaps you could help me search for them? They were stolen right out of my coat by one of those fiends, and I've searched high and low for them to no avail.
